Photos capture the beauty of life and the elegance of the moment. That’s why I love photography. Whether I’m taking photos of a heartfelt wedding, a newborn baby or a plate of gourmet food, it’s all about finding the right light, the right angle and the right timing.
My days as a photojournalist have been especially valuable as they taught me to work at the speed of life while maintaining respect for the subject. I learned to capture not only raw emotion, but also the tender little moments that often drift by unobserved.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in architecture from North Carolina State University and attended Ohio University’s School of Visual Communication masters program. I’ve worked as a photojournalist, a graphic designer and a commercial photographer. These days, I photograph weddings, portraits, head shots, events, food and real estate in the Atlanta area.
As you can see from the photo, I also enjoy goofing around with my husband Robert and photographing our adventures. I admit it; it’s hard to put the camera away when I’m done with an assignment!
