Katie and Umur’s intimate fall wedding
Katie and Umur had a lovely fall themed wedding at The Pace House in Vinings. I loved the pumpkins on the tables, and the Pace House has such beautiful old southern charm.

Lila and Ben’s elegant church wedding
Lila and Ben got hitched at Cross Pointe Church in Duluth. I was really happy to see that the church had a beautiful, hotel-like lobby with tons of natural light, which made for some beautiful photos. I also loved the Latin customs that Lila and Ben wove into their nuptials. They performed Padrinos de Lazo during the ceremony, where both sets of parents lay a golden cord around the couple to symbolise that they are bound in marriage. The mariachi band during the reception was a lot of fun, as was the “money dance.” Here are a few of my favorite photos.

Bly and Scott’s lovely Lake Rabun wedding
Bly and Scott got hitched at the rustic Lake Rabun Hotel in Lakemont, Georgia. They were possibly the most laid back couple I’ve ever worked with! We did all of the formal photos before the ceremony and they had an ice cream sundae bar instead of wedding cake. If you’re ever in this area of North Georgia, try to stop for a bite at the Lake Rabun Hotel, because their food is amazing!

Elisabeth and Franklin’s misty March wedding
I’m realizing that the types of weddings I love to shoot are the “Do it Yourself” style nuptials. There’s something more personal about hand crafted decorations and friends and family pitching in to help. It makes photos more fun and these types of couples are more relaxed and low key.
Elisabeth and Franklin got hitched last weekend at the Stovall House in Sautee, Georgia. It was raining that day, but the bride and groom couldn’t have been less worried about it. We got about an hour long break in the rain to walk around and do some of the portraits of the two of them. I love the look of the dark, winter trees and the misty fields around the property. It was really hard to pick my favorites from this wedding, but I’ll give it a try!

A friend drew this beautiful winter tree for them and their guests decorated it with finger print leaves.

Pepin and Wayne’s lovely fall wedding
I met Pepin and Wayne through friends at our church, and our minister, Susannah Davis officiated their ceremony. They got hitched at a friend’s house in Kirkwood, a neighborhood in Atlanta. Pepin’s family handled all of the flowers and decor. Their food was Caribbean themed, because Wayne is from Jamaica and their DJ spun several romantic reggae songs.
