Katie and Umur had a lovely fall themed wedding at The Pace House in Vinings. I loved the pumpkins on the tables, and the Pace House has such beautiful old southern charm.
It was ridiculously hard for me to pick just a handful of photos for this blog entry. Marilyn has been a dear friend to me for over seven years, and since she’s been dating Bo, I’ve never seen her happier. Of course I had to shoot their wedding! Luckily, Marilyn’s friend Elena is a super talented shooter, and she photographed the wedding with me as a present to Marilyn and Bo. I also got my buddy Martin to help out so Elena and I could put down our cameras and the reception.
Marilyn’s parents hosted the wedding and reception at their property on the marsh just outside of Savannah, Georgia. Along with homemade pies, a low country boil and an oyster bake added to the beautiful southern flavor of their event. Marilyn made preserves and pickled veggies for wedding favors and a blues band played while everyone sipped on southern signature cocktails. Wow, what a great wedding! Here are a few of my favorites.
Jenn and John got hitched last weekend at the Athens Botanical Garden, which is a great spot for an event. It’s got cool outdoor places to take photos, and a beautiful atrium which they used for both the ceremony and the reception. Jenn’s bird motif made for very cute centerpieces and their friends totally rocked the photo booth! This one was such a delight to shoot.
Bly and Scott got hitched at the rustic Lake Rabun Hotel in Lakemont, Georgia. They were possibly the most laid back couple I’ve ever worked with! We did all of the formal photos before the ceremony and they had an ice cream sundae bar instead of wedding cake. If you’re ever in this area of North Georgia, try to stop for a bite at the Lake Rabun Hotel, because their food is amazing!
I knew that Charlie and Stephanie’s wedding would be super fun to shoot. They have a unique sense of style, and their choice of location The Abita Mystery House and Museum was as wonderful and wacky as they are. I loved walking around and shooting details of the museum and Stephanie and Charlie’s details were fun and photogenic, too. Thanks to Chris Liphart for riding all the way to the Gulf Coast to help me shoot this one!
