This week, I'm featuring an interview with Jasmine Wolfe of Wolfe Designs.
How long have you been in business and what inspired you to become an entrepreneur?
I started my company towards the end of 2016. I was inspired by how many interior designers have their own businesses, do it all themselves, but couldn't grow because they literally did not have enough hours in the day to get it all done. By working with them, I gain valuable experience in all different styles of design.
What has been your biggest business challenge?
My biggest challenge has been scheduling everyone's requests. Word of mouth has traveled so fast, I'm having a hard time keeping up with the demand without turning down existing and new clients. This is truly the best challenge anyone could ask for!
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
I looked at the industry and saw a niche market for freelance design consultation to trade professionals. Everyone needs an extra set of helping hands from time to time, but no one was doing it yet! I did a lot of research, took a leap of faith, and opened my doors for business, never looking back.
How do quality photos help you with business branding and marketing?
Being in the interior design business, quality photos are key! Everything we do is visual! The way a space is shot, can really determine how it comes across in print.
Why did you pick Bonnie as your photographer, and why would you recommend her to other entrepreneurs?
I ran across Bonnie's website while researching portrait/head shot photographers. One thing that really drew me to Bonnie was that everyone that she featured on her website looked natural. They were real, genuine people with personalities that really showed through on the pictures. Bonnie was so great to work with! She coached me through the whole process -- making sure I was posed correctly, made sure my smile wasn't stiff, and didn't stop until she had the best lighting to work with.
